What does it mean to leave everything behind not by choice, but to survive?6:00 pm – 8:00 pm CET/GMT+1
“Photos and Stories / Strangers Everywhere” is an exhibition that explores the lived experiences of individuals forced to flee their homes due to conflict, political instability, and personal danger. Through photography and personal narratives, the project highlights the resilience and voices of refugee and displaced students. Centered around the events of August 15, 2021, and the fall of Afghanistan; a moment that reshaped countless lives and continues to have lasting consequences. This exhibition brings forward deeply personal perspectives on displacement.
Through interviews, photographs, and storytelling, the project amplifies the voices of displaced individuals, offering insight into their journeys of loss, resilience, and hope, while shedding light on the emotional realities of becoming a stranger in a new land.
Join Voices Across the Student Atlas (VASA) to listen, reflect, and bear witness to stories that too often go unheard.
