Vechornizi. Fortunetelling, folk, food.

Vechornizi is a traditional Ukrainian youth gathering that historically took place during the autumn and winter evenings. Derived from the Ukrainian word for "evening" (vechir), it was a core part of rural social life. It's an introduction to MRII event that will bring the community together and introduce MRII Collective. We are going to engage people with Ukrainian fortune-telling traditions, dances, and regional foods. In collaboration with Chopping It Up we will provide traditional Ukrainian soup, borscht. It is a night of fun as well as learning.
