10 new guest faculty join Bard College Berlin for spring 2025

Each semester, a variety of experienced visiting instructors from diverse backgrounds join Bard College Berlin’s faculty to teach courses shaped by their unique areas of expertise.

This semester, Bard College Berlin welcomes 10 new guest faculty members:
  • Dr. Sasha Bergstrom-Katz (PhD in Psychosocial Studies, Birkbeck, University of London), co-teaching Performing Science and Medicine: The Lab, the Clinic and the Public Realm with Dr. Michele Luchetti
  • Charity Ellis (MFA, Massachusetts College of Art & Design), teaching The Art of Making Videos
  • Dr. Sven Fischer (PhD in Economics, Philipps-Universität Marburg), teaching Environmental and Resource Economics
  • Alice Lacou-Labarthe (MA in Germanic Studies, Université Paris-Sorbonne), teaching German Intermediate B2
  • Elisa R. Linn (MA in Curatorial Studies, Goethe-Universität and Hochschule für Bildende Künste–Städelschule), teaching Spaces of Appearance: Exhibitions as Counter-Public Spheres
  • Dr. Michele Luchetti (PhD in Philosophy, Central European University), co-teaching Performing Science and Medicine: The Lab, the Clinic and the Public Realm with Dr. Sasha Bergstrom-Katz
  • Mikael Omstedt (MA in Geography, University of British Columbia), teaching Geographies of Global Capitalism
  • Marija Ristic (MA in Law, Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights), co-teaching Evidence and Inquiry: Open Source Research for Human Rights with Fred Abrahams
  • Louise Thatcher (MA Global History, Freie Universität Berlin and Humboldt Universität zu Berlin), teaching Global History Lab
  • Maria Volokhova (Postgraduate Studies and Diploma of Fine Arts in Painting/Printmaking, Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle), teaching Introduction to the Art of Porcelain-Making
