Bard College Berlin invites you to its Spring 2018 Open Studios event on Monday, May 7, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. This exciting and popular end-of-semester exhibition celebrates the creativity of the students in the studio arts classes, while highlighting the role the arts play in the college's curriculum. On view will be a selection of artworks produced by students this semester under the guidance of arts faculty.
The exhibition is hosted in BCB's established arts building The Factory, a space whose flexibility offers students ample opportunities to create and display art projects across a variety of media and approaches.
Participating classes:
Developing Characters in Video Art: Alter Egos, Doppelgangers and Bootlegs (instructor: Dafna Maimon)
Advanced Photography: Exploring the Photographic Series and Beginners Black and White Photography: Made for a Party (instructor: April Gertler)
Imagined Geographies-Redefining Nationhood through Artistic Practice (instructor: Heba Amin)
Found Fragments & Layered Lines: mixed-media techniques for drawing and collage(instructor: John Kleckner)
Cornerstones of Your Practice: Collaboration, Curation, Socialization and Presentation(instructor: David C. Terry)
The Personal is even more Political (instructors: Sophia New, Dan Belasco Rogers)
Migration, Gender, and Nationalism (instructor: Agata Lisiak)
Refreshments will be served.

BVG Directions: Bard College Berlin is in Niederschönhausen, a 12-minute tram ride from the “Pankow” S/U-Bahn station. Take the M1 tram towards the destination “Rosenthal Nord” (not "Schillerstrasse") and exit at “Friedrich-Engels-Str. / Eichenstrasse”. Bard College Berlin’s arts building is 2 blocks away on the right side with a large red banner in front.
