Guest lecture by Klaus Mindrup (Member of the German Bundestag)
On March 26, 2019 from 7:00pm Bard College Berlin is delighted to welcome German politician and Bundestag member Klaus Mindrup for a guest lecture on “Climate Protection in Germany.” The presentation will focus on topics such as emission reduction, fuel, renewable energies, resource saving, and the current debates surrounding the Fridays for Future movement.
Klaus Mindrup is a German politician of the SPD and has been a member of the Bundestag for the district of Pankow since 2013. Mindrup has a degree in ecology from the University of Osnabrück. He has worked as a consultant and developer for a variety of institutes and organizations, among which the Workers’ Welfare Association, the Federal Association for Wind Energy, and the Independent Institute for Environmental Issues. He has been a member of the SPD since 1982 and a member of the State Executive Committee of SPD Berlin since 2010. Between 1999 and 2014, Mindrup worked as a district councilor in the Urban Council of Prenzlauer Berg and Pankow.
