Meet the Bard College Berlin Class of 2030

Bard College Berlin has enrolled 47 first-year students in the class of 2030, as well as 22 transfer students, for the fall 2026 semester. This group of 69 incoming students come from 26 different countries across 5 continents.

As part of the class of 2030, we are welcoming three alumni of the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange, a recipient of The Diana Award, a conservatory-trained pianist, a volunteer firefighter and lifeguard, a former Radio Free Europe intern, the first-ever under-18 intern at the James Cohan Gallery in New York City, and a trained welder.

Significantly, among these accomplished students are two Hilde Domin Scholars, selected by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Traditionally, the Hilde Domin Programme is reserved for graduate students, but was opened to Bachelor’s degree students at Bard College Berlin due to BCB's exceptional record of supporting students from conflict-affected backgrounds to degree completion, such as through the PIESC program.

In addition to the new students who have arrived on campus this fall, two new permanent faculty members and six new guest faculty are bringing a diverse range of expertise to BCB.
