Prof. Dr. Gale Raj publishes chapter on racism in global value chains

Prof. Dr. Gale Raj has recently published a commissioned chapter on 'Exploring the Occurrence and Consequences of Racism/Racial Discrimination in Global Value Chains in the Current International Economy' in the book Nationaler Diskriminierungs- und Rassismusmonitor (Hg.), Rassismus Forschung III: Rassismus in Strukturen und Praxisfeldern published by the DeZIM Institut.

The chapter presents a discussion reviewing research on racism and racial discrimination of workers and labor in global value chains from critical perspectives and theories and themes that include othering, ethnicization, racial identities, racialized imagery and discourses, and linkages between race and worker power.
