On the occasion of the celebrations of the centenary of Virginia Woolf's
Mrs Dalloway, Prof. Dr.
Laura Scuriatti gave a talk entitled "Una forza generatrice: riscrivere
Mrs Dalloway nel XXI secolo" (A generative force: rewriting
Mrs Dalloway in the 21st century) at Milan State University on December 5, 2025. The talk offered an overview of some of the most recent rewritings of
Mrs Dalloway in English and German, showing how the content and style of the novel have been rewritten in order to revitalize its political content and make it relevant for understanding contemporary issues.
Prof. Scuriatti also participated in a round table discussion on the volume
The Edinburgh Companion to Virginia Woolf and Transnational Perspectives, published by Edinburgh University Press (2025), of which she is a contributor.
