Agata Lisiak presents on transnational feminism at the University of Cologne
Participants discussed the challenges and opportunities of applying Marxist theories in teaching in the addressed of today’s multiple crises. In her presentation, "Transnational Feminism and Fractured Solidarities," Lisiak spoke about the course she has been teaching at Bard College Berlin since 2019, in which students examine the demands of socialist women’s rights activists, queer feminist formations in the Global South, theories and practices of reproductive justice, feminist responses to occupation, war, and land grabbing, decolonial feminist interventions, and the connections between gender justice and environmental justice.
