In her concluding article titled “AI and Crisis Management,” Tanishka summarizes her findings from the conference. She discusses the question, “How can we use AI to enhance the work and impact of youth-led organizations across Germany, the Baltic states, Europe, and the world?”
“The workshops I was able to cover,” she writes on LinkedIn, “were an opportunity for me to see how people use their critical thinking abilities to question norms and create guidelines for safer, more ethical, and more impactful uses of AI.”
In the article, drawing upon the conference discussions, Tanishka explores the misconceptions of AI, the debates surrounding it, its role in disinformation, and what the future of AI looks like in the field of youth organizations.
What did the conference participants conclude from this in-depth exploration into AI and its complexities? “After 4 days, several workshops, inspiring keynotes, and countless conversations,” Tanishka writes, “the answer seemed to lie in… educating more teachers and industry professionals in different sectors on the technology behind AI, as well as the safe and ethical uses of it.” She continues, “Being students gives us an opportunity to encourage institutions to accelerate the investment in ‘educating the educators’ in regards to AI and developing technology.”
