Clarissa Shane ‘23 wins Future Voices Fellowship at Columbia University
While at Bard Berlin, Clarissa has been a member of the debate team, the BIPOC support club, a BRAVE peer counselor, and the recipient of an OSUN Experimental Humanities Grant to research human/nonhuman trajectories in Paredones, Michoacán, Mexico.
“I’m excited about studying oral history, because it provides a way for people to tell their own stories and allows space for decolonization and holistic ways of remembering,” Clarissa said on winning the scholarship. “My interdisciplinary experience at BCB prepared me for [this] program, especially making visual and sound pieces for various political course finals. My favorite was a podcast episode on cooking and migration: Calling Home.”
