Performing arts instructor Eva Meyer-Keller premieres Turn The P/Age on February 13 at Sophiensæle
Turn The P/Age centers what it means to age as a woman in a time when the pursuit of eternal youth has become the cultural norm. It features four cis and trans women performers who explore how their bodies and identities have changed over the years. They not only examine their personal biographies but also delve deep into cultural and medical history to understand how these transformations have shaped them and how closely their experiences are interwoven with the society in which they age.
Meyer-Keller’s choreography “balances between control and letting go, between care and critical reflection, between individual strength and solidarity, and sets seemingly fixed perspectives on aging and the health of women with and without uteruses in motion.”
Meyer-Keller is a choreographer with 20 years of artistic practice characterized by interdisciplinary and collaborative projects. Since 2017, she has devoted herself artistically to the exploration of scientific concepts.
Performances will run from February 13-16. Learn more and purchase tickets here.
