This summer,
Boris Vormann will give several lectures and participate in important workshops on questions of democratic legitimacy in a changing international order. On June 8, he will speak at the
Heidelberg Center for American Studies during the annual conference of the Political Science Section of the
German Association for American Studies (GAAS/DGfA) on the relationship between "Authority, Legitimacy, and Scale". Then, on June 13, Vormann will discuss how the concept of the global city needs to be rethought in light of the crisis of neoliberal globalization at the
Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies, Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg. Finally, on June 27, he will participate in the panel "Infrastructures and Planetary Sense-Making" at the workshop "Reimagining Order in the Planetary Era: Agency, Publics, and Power" at
Freie Universität. These events will explore key issues of governance, urbanization, and global order.
