Ulrike Harnisch holds an M.A. degree in English and American Literature from the Berlin Technical University and in Israeli Politics and Literature from the Berlin Humboldt University (1998). She has taught German language classes at all levels. As a translator from Hebrew and English into German she has published several books, among others Mel Gussow’s book about Samuel Beckett, as well as modern Israeli plays of Edna Mazya, Gilad Evron, and Roni Kuban. Moreover she has translated essays for the exhibition catalogues of the Israeli photographers Boris Carmi and Micha Bar-Am.
