Das DerDieDas Haus can be very challenging sometimes, but it is also very rewarding when it comes to just getting more confidence in speaking the language with people.
All students are welcome to apply for our DerDieDas Haus program. What you need is a passion for German and for making your community an enjoyable experience.
Apply to join the living and learning community through the online application form by May 31 (Fall Semester) and December 15 (Spring Semester). Students can join at the beginning of a new semester. Your German proficiency will be assessed during a brief personal or virtual meeting.
Enabling young people to make the German language their own by using it in their home, with their peers – it’s a simple idea, and it turns out to be highly effective. DerDieDas Haus has become a lively hub for joint activities and increased student/faculty interaction. We are excited to see the idea grow and branch out through the imagination and personalities of the students in this community.
