Bard College Berlin offers a number of programs during the summer or winter months that are available not only to students at Bard College but to college students from throughout North America. These programs typically integrate academic experience with a feel for the city of Berlin. Students have the opportunity to participate in various co-curricular activities that draw on Berlin's rich offerings, and to visit museums, galleries, and other places of cultural or historical interest in the city.

Summer Theater IntensiveThe Summer Theater Intensive program aims to foster the creative engagement between students and a wide variety of multidisciplinary artists working in theater and performance in Berlin. The program explores techniques in the devising and creating of original theater works, as well as immerses the participants in Berlin's theater and performance culture through regular outings to performances, museums, galleries, and other cultural venues; to Berlin’s artistic or historical landmarks; and through meetings with artists.

Winter German Language IntensiveThe German Language Intensive program aims to foster language acquisition in a cultural context, and helps students with intermediary language skills improve their knowledge of German language and culture. Language is taught in conjunction with a cultural program that exposes students to a wide variety of artistic, historical, and cultural experiences. The program is only open to students enrolled at Bard College, Annandale.
